This
shows the first step in the molding process. Establishing
the parting line. For this two piece mold I start by making
a quarter inch thick base with clay. Then add the wax pattern
and the sprues.
At this
point I'm ready to pour the silicon. In the top photo you
can see the clay on the bottom of this mold after the silicon
is poured and cured. We're half way there......
